Valentine’s Day is here, whether you love it or hate it, it comes along every year and the majority of brands like : Lambrini, Cadbury, Glade, Interflora, M&S Dine in for Two and The Perfume Shop make the most of this holiday bombarding everyone with their campaigns. This is no surprise; nearly £1bn was being spent on Valentine’s related products in the UK alone in 2013. So are you feeling all loved up? We found a bunch of examples which we would like to share with you.

For those of you who want a bit more innovative out of your dinner reservations, Lutyens Restaurant in Fleet Street is inviting its diners to a private screening of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” after their meal. Or how about London Aquarium, “There’s fish. There’s booze. There’s food.” Enjoy an evening in an underground glass tank with various sea life swimming around you whilst sipping on a glass of champagne

For something even more personal.  What better way to say I love you than a piece of personalised jewellery? Get your creative brains’ on boys and design a piece of jewellery to your (or her!) exact specification at StyleRocks.com A brilliant example of mass customisation, but it doesn’t come cheap.

If you want something totally unique: we’d like to leave you with this website we stumbled upon a website called Romance Outsourced, run by Johny Crow and his small team of musicians who turn your lyrics into a song for your loved one.

Maybe 2015 will be the year for brands to break away from typical expectations and open up to the idea of mass customisation and co-creating innovative services.
